Ladies and Gentlemen
It is with great pleasure that I am here today to officiate in the opening ceremony of the 3 day Training Course on Debt Management, Workouts and Restructuring.
As you are all aware human capital development is critical for the survival of every organisation, hence our being here today.
This program is designed to capacitate yourselves to effectively assess loan facilities, learn new strategies of how to manage problem accounts, how to manage collateral for those problem accounts and also to facilitate you on how to come up with options for rehabilitating problem accounts.
Let me extent my heartfelt gratitude for the continued support of the SADC DFRC together with CEDA Management for providing this necessary program which will go a long way in improving our efficiency and effectiveness in delivery of our mandate.
This program provides an interactive forum for the participants to share, explore and discuss concepts and issues related to Debt Management, Workout and Restructuring projects as well as good governance and regulatory requirements in the loan administration.
I am convinced that you will find this program interesting and of value and that there will be a lot of interaction between yourselves and the facilitators during the course of the next 3 days.
We look forward to a successful training over the next 3 days and I strongly encourage you all to become actively engaged in the various course sessions and discussions.
With those remarks I declare this training session officially opened.
Thank you and have fun.
