Mariam Evah Gumede serves as Executive Coordinator at the SADC Development Finance Resource Centre (SADC-DFRC). With a strong background in administration, communication, and business management, she provides essential executive support and operational coordination to facilitate the Centre's activities in strengthening Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) across the SADC region.
In her role, Mariam manages key administrative functions, supports leadership in stakeholder engagements, and ensures efficient office operations that underpin capacity-building programmes, advisory services, and regional integration initiatives. Her contributions help maintain seamless connectivity between the Centre, its members, and partners, advancing SADC's objectives for sustainable economic growth and inclusive development.

Educational Background

Mariam Evah Gumede earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Management College of Southern Africa, building upon her BA in Communication Science from the University of South Africa and earlier qualifications including a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Botswana Institute of Administration and Commerce. This educational journey—from foundational administrative training to advanced business leadership and communication expertise—has equipped her with the skills to excel in executive coordination roles within development finance.
