Botswana Housing Corporation

Botswana Housing Corporation

The Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) is a government-owned entity established in 1971 to provide housing and building solutions in Botswana. Operating under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing Development, it functions as the government’s Single Housing Authority, managing nearly 10,000 rental units and developing properties for sale across the country. Unlike traditional government departments, BHC is self-funding, generating revenue through rentals, property sales, and commercial ventures to finance its projects. The corporation serves various market segments, including government employees, low-income households, and young first-time buyers, while also offering schemes that allow tenants to purchase their homes directly.
