The Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) is a government agency in Botswana established in 2001 to promote citizen economic empowerment by providing financial and technical support to citizen-owned businesses . CEDA funds a wide range of enterprises, including start-ups, struggling businesses, and projects in sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism, with recent investments totaling over P150 million in one region alone . Beyond loans and equity funding, the agency offers training, mentorship, and business advisory services to help entrepreneurs build sustainable and viable businesses .
