SADC DFRC meets with SADC Deputy Executive Secretary (RI)

Mr. Stuart Kufeni, Chief Executive Officer of the SADC-DFRC accompanied by Mr. Kogan Pillay Head of PPP met with Dr. Thembinkosi Mhlongo, SADC Secretariat Deputy Executive Secretary for Regional Integration (DES-RI), on 11th February 2014 in Gaborone, Botswana.

Mr. Kufeni briefed the DES-RI of the activities and milestones of the DFRC since its establishment. Achievements include the establishment of the SADC PPP Network, increased number of programmes delivered and expansion of the SADC DFI Network membership among others. It was also noted that as the regional hub for the development finance institutions (DFIs) within the SADC, the DFRC is mandated to provide capacity building, policy research and advisory services while focusing on two key sectors viz, Infrastructure/PPP Support and SME Development.
