The Chief Executive Officer of the SADC Development Finance Resource Centre (SADC-DFRC), Mr Zwelibanzi Sapula, had the honour of paying a courtesy call on Honourable Dr Phenyo Butale, Minister of International Relations (Botswana) to discuss matters concerning the strategic positioning and institutional strengthening of the DFRC.

During the meeting, Mr Sapula provided a brief overview of the Centre’s mandate, highlighting its role in strengthening Development Finance Institutions across the region and supporting sustainable economic development in alignment with the objectives of the SADC-DFRC.

Honourable Dr Butale expressed appreciation for the engagement and acknowledged the Centre’s meaningful contribution to regional development initiatives. The Minister further conveyed the Ministry’s commitment to continued collaboration on areas of shared interest.

The discussions reaffirm the shared commitment to strengthening regional development finance architecture and enhancing the institutional foundations necessary to support SADC Development Finance Institutions in advancing regional integration and sustainable growth.
