On 28 September 2026, His Excellency Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana, hosted a State Banquet in honour of His Excellency Daniel Francisco Chapo, President of the Republic of Mozambique.

The occasion celebrated the enduring friendship between Botswana and Mozambique and reflected the continued strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The SADC Development Finance Resource Centre (SADC-DFRC) was represented by its Executive Director, Mr Zwelibanzi Sapula, and Executive & Stakeholder Relations Officer, Ms Chazha Macheng, who joined distinguished guests at the engagement and accompanying festivities.

Their participation reflected the SADC-DFRC’s commitment to supporting regional cooperation, strengthening institutional relationships and advancing the shared development aspirations of SADC Member States.
