SADC-DFRC Participates in CISNA Annual General Meetings in Malawi
SADC-DFRC was pleased to participate in the Committee of Insurance, Securities and Non-Bank Financial Authorities (CISNA) Annual General Meetings in Malawi, engaging with key stakeholders in the region’s capital markets and non-bank financial sector. The Centre was represented by Ms Malefo Kawanza and Ms Maipelo Stroh.
The SADC-DFRC was also privileged to attend as observers during the CISNA Governance Council elections, an important part of the organisation’s governance processes.
As we continue to strengthen collaboration between Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and institutional investors, engagements such as these provide an important platform to advance dialogue on mobilising regional capital to support development priorities.
We see significant opportunities to bridge the gap between institutional capital and development finance, particularly through the development of investable regional asset classes, innovative financing structures and stronger partnerships.

Unlocking long-term capital for regional development requires closer collaboration between DFIs, institutional investors and regulators. SADC-DFRC looks forward to building on this momentum to advance this agenda across the SADC region.
