STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS FOR REGIONAL IMPACT – UN
The SADC Development Finance Resource Centre (SADC-DFRC) recently had the privilege of paying an introductory courtesy call on the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Botswana, Ms Wenyan Yang, and the United Nations Country Team.

The engagement provided a valuable opportunity to introduce the SADC-DFRC’s regional mandate, exchange perspectives on shared development priorities and explore potential areas of collaboration between the Centre and the United Nations system in Botswana.
Discussions highlighted the importance of building strong institutional relationships and aligning complementary capabilities to support sustainable development, regional integration and inclusive economic growth across Southern Africa.
The courtesy call marked an important step towards identifying synergies and creating a platform for continued dialogue. It also reaffirmed that meaningful partnerships begin by creating space to listen, understand each institution’s priorities and explore what can be achieved collectively.
The SADC-DFRC extends its sincere appreciation to Ms Wenyan Yang and the United Nations Country Team in Botswana for warmly receiving the delegation and for their openness to continued engagement.
We look forward to transforming these conversations into partnerships, and partnerships into lasting regional impact.
