SADC-DFRC Pays Courtesy Visit to Export Development Fund Malawi
The SADC Development Finance Resource Centre recently attended a courtesy meeting with Export Development Fund Malawi, one of its valued members in the SADC DFI Network.
SADC-DFRC was represented by Ms Malefo Kawanza and Ms Maipelo Stroh, who engaged with Export Development Fund Malawi to better understand the institution’s key priorities and how the Centre can be of greater value to its work.

During the discussions, Export Fund Malawi noted that its first undertaking is resource mobilisation. The institution also shared its key focus sectors, which include agro-processing, infrastructure development, energy and mining, all of which are central to driving industrial growth and economic resilience in the region.

The meeting further explored areas where targeted interventions can be identified and undertaken, ensuring that the support SADC-DFRC provides responds directly to the needs and priorities of its members.
As the secretariat and centre of excellence for development finance institutions across the SADC region, SADC-DFRC remains committed to supporting its network members. The engagement reflects the Centre’s commitment to strengthening institutional relationships, deepening collaboration and advancing the shared development aspirations of SADC Member States.
