The SADC-DFRC delegation included:

• Mr. Bryan Masheleng – ICT and Digital Transformation Lead

This introductory meeting with the new BDC leadership provided an excellent platform to exchange views on how the two institutions can work together to drive Botswana’s development agenda and contribute to regional integration.

Key discussion areas included:

Collaboration with local DFIs to mobilise resources and expertise.

Advancing infrastructure development projects, notably the A1 Dual Carriageway.

Strengthening Public-Private Partnership (PPP) units to unlock private sector participation in national projects.

The engagement reaffirmed the importance of building strong relationships between national and regional development finance institutions to deliver impactful, sustainable outcomes for communities.

We look forward to deepening our collaboration with BDC and continuing to support transformative initiatives across the SADC region.
