Strengthening Partnerships For Private Sector-Led Growth – Business Botswana

The SADC Development Finance Resource Centre was pleased to engage with Business Botswana to explore opportunities for collaboration in advancing a competitive, inclusive and private sector-led economy.

The SADC-DFRC delegation, comprising Chief Executive Officer Mr. Zwelibanzi Sapula and Senior Capacity Building Officer Ms. Maipelo Stroh, was received by Business Botswana Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Norman Moleele, and his team.

Discussions highlighted SADC-DFRC’s mandate to advance sustainable economic development and regional integration through its network of 41 Development Finance Institutions across all 16 SADC Member States. The engagement also explored potential areas of collaboration in capacity building, infrastructure development, resource mobilisation, industrialisation, agriculture and support for small, medium and micro-enterprises.

Business Botswana shared insights into its business advocacy, capacity-building and economic diversification initiatives, including its support for SMMEs and efforts to create a more enabling environment for private-sector growth.

The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of SADC-DFRC and Business Botswana to strengthening institutional partnerships, empowering enterprises and promoting sustainable economic development in Botswana and across the Southern African region.

SADC-DFRC extends its appreciation to Mr. Moleele and the Business Botswana team for the warm reception and productive discussions. We look forward to translating this shared vision into meaningful collaboration and lasting development impact.
