The SADC Development Finance Resource Centre (SADC-DFRC) had the privilege of paying a courtesy call on Dr. Kimanzi Muthengi, UNICEF Representative, during a productive engagement at the Unicef Botswana offices.

The meeting was led by our Executive Director, Mr. Zwelibanzi Sapula, accompanied by Ms. Chazha Macheng, Executive Officer & Strategic Stakeholder Relations, and Mr. Bryan Masheleng, ICT & Digital Transformation Lead.

The discussions centred on areas of mutual interest and opportunities for collaboration in advancing sustainable development across the SADC region. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of innovation, digital transformation, institutional capacity building, and strategic partnerships in delivering inclusive and impactful development outcomes.

As the region continues to navigate evolving development challenges, partnerships between regional development finance institutions and organisations such as UNICEF are essential in driving innovative, people-centred solutions that create lasting impact for communities across Southern Africa.
