Mr. Francis Macheka spearheads the SADC DFI Network

Mr Francis Macheka, Group Chief Executive of the AFC Holdings (formerly known as Agribank, Zimbabwe) was elected Chairman of the SADC DFI Network during the December 2022 Maputo meetings. Mr Macheka took over from Mr Maybin Muyawala, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Development Bank of Zambia, and his appointment is for a period of two years effective December, 2022.

With a proven track record and over 20 years of experience in general management and executive directorship in banking as well as agricultural development, his contributions will no doubt be crucial to the regional development agenda.

Mr Macheka possesses countless post graduate and professional qualifications in banking, agriculture and credit management, and has chipped in to numerous expert forums in Zimbabwe as well as throughout Africa on agricultural finance and banking.
